What we collect

Trade enquiries submitted through this site (company, contact name, business email, phone, market, brief) and, for confirmed bookings, the traveller information your agency provides for operating the itinerary: names, passport details where required, dietary and accessibility needs, and travel documents.

How we use it

Solely to quote and operate travel arrangements: contracting hotels, guides, transport and venues; issuing documentation; and providing on-tour support. We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or contact your clients directly.

Who we share it with

Only the suppliers delivering the booked services (hotels, transport providers, guides), and only the fields each supplier needs. Enquiry form submissions are received by Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and summarised with Anthropic's Claude AI to help us prepare your quote; email is handled by our mail provider.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages agents actually use. It only loads if you accept it: on your first visit the site asks, and until you agree no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent. Decline and the site works exactly the same — nothing on this site is gated behind analytics. We run no advertising, so advertising and personalisation storage stay switched off permanently, whatever you choose.

When you do accept, Google Analytics records the pages you view, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser type, and the site or search that referred you. It does not receive your name, email or anything you type into an enquiry form.

Processors

Google LLC processes analytics data on our behalf, under Google's privacy policy. Cloudflare hosts this site and processes each request, including your IP address, in order to serve the page. Enquiry form submissions are received by Cloudflare, which hosts this site, and summarised with Anthropic's Claude AI to help us prepare your quote; email is handled by our mail provider.

We also keep our own simple visit statistics: the page viewed, the website that referred you (its name only), any campaign tag in the link, your country and device type. We never store your IP address and set no cookies. Only if you accept analytics do we keep a random identifier in your browser, so we can see which pages led to an enquiry. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded. These statistics are stored on Cloudflare and deleted after 13 months.

Withdrawing consent

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It clears your stored choice and puts the question back on screen, so withdrawing is exactly as easy as agreeing. Your answer, either way, is remembered for 12 months and then we ask again. You can also clear the cookies for this site in your browser.

Retention

Booking records are retained as required by Japanese tax and travel-industry regulations, then deleted. Enquiry data that does not become a booking is deleted within 24 months. Analytics data is retained for 14 months and is then deleted automatically by Google.

Your rights

Agencies and travellers may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. You may also object to processing or ask us to restrict it, and you may withdraw analytics consent at any time using the footer link above without giving a reason.
